Is it important to have a social page for your blog?
Maybe you’ve noticed that most of the sites you visit offer at least one button that would somehow keep you posted to whatever happens there. Well, I think it’s a key point to success. How so?
With the web growing, you should literally count every visitor.
Think of how many site’s you’ve surfed last month… probably a dozen. How many of them do you regularly visit? Not that much, probably.
It doesn’t mean the content was weak, or they lacked fun. We just forget about them. With so much competition for the visitor’s time, it becomes all about fishing for his attention.
There’s no fishing without a hook (in this case the hook is your social page). Once you figure the fishing part – the rest is easy :)
Back to regular terms. Let’s talk about the ways you can interact with your new friends…
1. Stay Connected
As long as there’s a community, remind your readers you exist. I personally prefer Facebook and twitter.
Once you got their attention, keep posting all your updates. Becoming more active increases your visibility, thus popularity.
It’s even easier when it comes to the latest “facebook page” changes.
It’s like having a dozen of friends: when you get a new laptop and whisper about it, it’s a matter of seconds till the news spreads. Your post is the same chain reaction (with comments) that needs just a little spark.
You also get the chance to connect to other people and communities, which makes your target audience even bigger.
2. Win Authority

Social pages help you establish yourself as an expert in your field. You become a search portal of helpful information related to your niche that your community needs.
Once you establish a regular crowd, it’s a lot easier to inspire trust, proving once again that you are a strong brand.
Facebook offers the ability to interact as full page. This way you can comment and interact with others as a brand.
3. Advertise
When it comes to advertising your business, there’s no way better than having a short presentation for those who are not familiar with it.
Either way it’s free and requires little to no effort from you.
— Pssst: I heard that websites with facebook pages get extra special seo credits. (I’ll talk about it in my next article)
