Martyn is a web developer experienced with wordpress and php. His blogging skills can be admired on Blog-Tweaks.com & TwoHourBlogger.com. Besides writing, Martyn also found his call in painting, believing that the best of art lies between a mixture of photo-realism and abstract dexterity.

Why did you decide to start blogging?

My friend and Web guru Paul Stefan Ort kept bugging me to start my own blog, I’m not sure why, but  he just thought it was a good idea. Since then, I’ve probably given him reason to regret it, but I’ve been blogging ever since.

What surprised you the most during your first one to three months of blogging?

What surprised me the most in my first three months of blogging is how much I enjoyed it. I never knew how much I liked writing for an audience before starting. I was also shocked with the kind of connections that can be made. In my first three months I had a post tweeted by Mark Cuban (the billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks), and I had coffee with a serial entrepreneur. How cool is that?

The name of my current blog is Write On My Wrist.

How long have you been blogging?

I started blogging at Diamonds Made of Glass in August 2010 (my very first blog :)).

Had it been of my choice where I was, I would have started blogging ages ago.

Why did you decide to start blogging?

I felt that the black-covered journal I’d kept throughout my hospital period between April and June that year was not enough of an outlet, and also wanted to find someone who would listen, someone I didn’t know but someone who might just understand by chance. I have been writing since I was 12 so I also thought it would be a good step further. Looking back, blogging has been a real lifesaver for me. It keeps me sane.

I blog over at Smart Boy Designs, mostly about blogging, internet marketing and social  media.

How long have you been blogging?

I’ve been blogging in some form since I was ten – so for ten years now. It’s been a fun journey. I love thinking back to when blogs were first starting to become existent, and editing static HTML pages was no longer needed. A beautiful thing, technology.

Why did you decide to start blogging?

I decided to start blogging because I’ve always loved to write. I’ve always had a pencil and paper in hand, jotting down the thoughts of life. Blogging seemed to be a great outlet for those thoughts.
