Did you ever wonder why other blogs just seem to attract readers for no big reason?
You’ve most certainly given a thought about their secret, so you can use it yourself.
Off course there are a lot of reasons why they’re so popular, and it’s not just about content or appearance – it’s the work they do to improve themselves.
1. Have a Converstaion
No one likes to be lectured, on the other hand everyone likes to talk. And a blog is really a form of conversation between you and your readers.
It’s actually a matter of psychology, because you’re trying to sell and idea, and the only successful way of doing it is by attaching good emotions. Think of it as an apple: if it looks good – it will attract attention and probably sell itself.
Try making your point without making the reader feel persuaded.
Make it as comfortable as possible; if the reader feels like you’re talking down on him, he won’t stay long.
When people feel your good willing attitude torwards them, they are more likely to keep listening and develop trust.
2. Provide Variety
In addition to your great articles, try offering something different: it could be as simple as covering a non-related topic, or as creative as a survey.
Everyone gets bored, so try avoiding routines. Make readers feel you care about them.
You can always ask your readers what they want. Never neglect the option of directly asking a person what he/she wants. The key is offering a choice.
There is nothing wrong with asking for help. If you tried… but still didn’t come up with a good idea, ask other bloggers. Experience sharing is the secret behind productivity.
3. Visual Appeal
Forget about your blog.
Imagine you’re going to a date. You’ve got a great game plan, and know exactly what you’ll say… but that’s not even half. Getting back to human psychology: it’s all about how you serve the dish/idea.
Your blog’s appearance is a stimulation to reading.
Arrangement, size and style is marketing in a word form.
Try separating ideas, use topic related pictures to stick your claws in the readers attention for as long as you can.
4. Real Information

Isn’t this the whole point of a blog, especially a popular one?
They offer you lots of cool stuff without asking anything back. Think about how you can help the reader.
It’s the same as choosing a friend: you choose the one that’s always there for you and helps unconditionally.
Keep track of the info you offer. If it’s not helpful - throw it away.
5. Be your own reader
After you finished your article, read it all over again. Become a usual reader who’s looking for info.
If you think your article isn’t helpful, there’s no point offering it to your readers.
